Explore the powerful stories behind the 72-year fight for women’s voting rights as historian and actor Annette Baldwin brings the voices of early suffragists to life. Hear vivid selections from the speeches of Lucretia Mott, Elizabeth Cady Stanton, Susan B. Anthony, and Alice Paul. In partnership with the League of Women Voters Glenview/Glencoe.

Annette Baldwin has presented programs on the woman suffrage movement since 1995. Her research includes visits to the homes of Anthony, Stanton, Paul and Catt & two journeys to Seneca Falls, NY, site of the 1848 Woman’s Rights Convention. Her portrayals and lectures have been presented in 20 states, 30 Chautauquas and at the National Museum of American History, Smithsonian Institution, Washington, D.C. Baldwin is a former Illinois Humanities Road Scholar.
